This is an edit after the original posting received many comments. Thanks for all the constructive crits and thank God for Photoshop layers.

This was an idea I came up with when thinking about what I'd like to give for Christmas.

It was hand drawn with pencil on color copier paper. This stuff is so smooth the pencil glides across it. Then painted using Photoshop 3 using a Wacom Artz II pad. The drawing took about 3 hours and the painting took about 35 hours.

The colors are very nice!!....I still think that the face does not look well.....the right side of her face should be narrower ....just my opinion.

Yeah, so much better!!
Maybe i just add some little hairs in the other side, in the right side, for be a bit more dynamic sensation.
It´s great, don´t worry, good work!
