This is an edit after the original posting received many comments. Thanks for all the constructive crits and thank God for Photoshop layers.

This was an idea I came up with when thinking about what I'd like to give for Christmas.

It was hand drawn with pencil on color copier...

This was sketched on paper then scanned. It was painted in Photoshop 3.0 using a Wacom. The sketch was much looser than I usually work. A little more of a hurry up since it is a Christmas present.

This was originally a pencil drawing that I scanned into Photoshop 3.0. I place the line art into a channel and show it only. When I am done with the color I load it into the CMYK channels. The color work took about 6 hours and the pencil took about 2.

I had been playing Warcraft 2 and was inspired to do an orc. This was drawn by hand in my sketchbook. Scanned into Photoshop 3.0 and digitally painted there. This was done about 1999 or 2000. So it is an older piece. The Photoshop work took about 2 hours.

This is an older digital painting done in Photoshop 3.0. It was hand drawn on smooth bristol then scanned. The drawing took about 6 hours and the Photoshop work took about 30 hours. The wings took the longest.
